    Dont know man, went …
Dont know man, went on one of those Atkins diets…! (vegetarian verse at least) got sick for the first time in like 5 yrs
and really felt unwell the whole way through.

Though perhaps this is not what your suggesting, I tend to frown away from High protien diets, favoring what your body needs, a balance of everything, moderate exersise and planty of fresh everything, if you have to read a lable, you probably should not eat it

    I remember when I …
I remember when I was about 17 to 19 I went through a phase of starvation and anorexia. Trust me it wasn’t pretty. I’d rather eat candy ( low cal no fat ). At the beginning I was eating good, but went far and would feel the coldness as you say. Some of my hair started falling out and even receding, thought I was balding when I didn’t. From 20 to 23 I still didn’t eat well and didn’t recover. But now I’m recovering because of healthier choices I’m making.

    Low calorie diets …
Low calorie diets are NOT stupid. They’re effective means of loosing weight. The problem is, people aren’t eating the right foods. They need to eat LOW caloric density foods!! AND OF COURSE they’re going to gain the weight back once they go back to their previous diet. You need to find a diet that is sustainable for the rest of your life. A diet isn’t something you GO on. You’re supposed to do the diet for the rest of life, hence the sustainability.

  • LAHrebirth says:

    i think he meant …
i think he meant high fat in terms of good fats such as omega 3

and high protein in terms of “as much as the body can handle” in 3-4hour intervals, if you had huge protein in one shot, the body can’t process it and it’ll turn to fat

  • LAHrebirth says:

    not eating the body …
not eating the body goes to starvation mode and thus you gain fat

  • deathlyartist says:

    I think he’s …
I think he’s regarding high fat and high protein diets to

    1. Men since they need to consume more than women.
    2. People who are gym bunnies.

Now If I went on a high fat, high protein diet, I will balloon up!

You have good videos dude, but I think you should be more informative to what type of person you are talking about. Not all bodies will respond to the way you think. I certainly wouldn’t.

  • StephSilvermen says:

    Have a protein …
Have a protein shake after you finish your workout. It will help stimulate muscle recovery. I would suggest a low carb and moderate protein diet. Your body will go into ketosis and you will lose body fat, rather than fat & muscle like you do on a low calorie diet.

  • BEKrustie says:

    Build more lean …
Build more lean muscle. If you can build lean muscle mass your body will burn more calories. Muscle burns more calories just resting than body fat does. If you do short amounts of cardio intensely its better than doing it for an hour sustained. I always do 15 mins of cardio before a weight lifting session and I gain around 1 lb per month in lean body weight.

  • naldongtisoy says:

    dont listen to this …
    dont listen to this guy,

HIGH FAT, HIGH CALORIE, LOW CARB? are you kidding me?

    go for
HIGH CARB- which you should get mostly from vegetables and fruits. Dont indulge too much on potatoes and rice or bread though. you can have it but eat mostly vegetables and fruits

MEDIUM AMOUNTS OF PROTEIN= too much protein damages the kidneys and liver, and once you go low on carbs you will get ketosis.

LOW FAT= how can one fat person, lose fat if he is on a HIGH FAT DIET?
    LET HIM EXPLAIN THIS ONE

  • naldongtisoy says:

    yeah, we shouldnt …
yeah, we shouldnt be on a low cal low fat diet. People should be on HIGH FAT HIGH CALORIE DIET. LET THE OBESITY RATE GO UP SOME MORE. 10 years from now everybody will be obese and one more problem, when you tell somebody they’re fat, they get mad. WHEEW

  • KeroroGunsouTX says:

    You should …
You should differentiate between a “starvation” diet and a “calorie restriction” diet. Cutting 50% of an “average” 3000 calorie diet is certainly too much. Cutting just 30% however, may actually improve health. Look up some videos on “calorie restriction” and see for yourself.

  • soullessgagdoll says:

    This man is …
This man is flipping my knowledge of weight loss upside-down. So if a reduction in calories doesn’t make you lose weight in the long run and if cardio an hour a day for every day breaks down muscle tissue- then what do I do to reduce the amount of body fat I have for good?

  • Ossisocke says:

    Yeah well that …
Yeah well that might be true if you already reached your weight goal. But when your dieting, you usually are overweight. Thus you should watch how much you are eating, even though the carbohydrates are restricted. I’m not sure why you should burn fat rapidly if you provide your body with unlimited fuel.

  • Bassball says:

    he means unlimited …
he means unlimited calories in the sense that when you eat high quality foods, the calories are irrelevant – because the body will know satiety because it will not feel nutrient or calorie deprived. i follow metabolic typing, and i’m a protein-fat type – and i eat butter and fat with EVERYTHING. i will put raw butter on an apple even – that is a total disregard for calories, but the point is I look great and feel great doing it – so i’ll never stop.
If you beg to differ, differ then and talk

  • Ossisocke says:

    Unlimited calories? …
Unlimited calories? I beg to differ.

The rest of the video was very good though and well presented.

    Read Adrien Brody’s …
Read Adrien Brody’s interview about the effects of his extreme low calorie diet for ‘The Pianist’. Scary.

So called Blue Zones – geographic locations where people live long, disease free, lives – all have one thing in common: Low fat, lower calorie intake and very little meat.

Rice, beans, fruit, nuts, vegetables and a little fish and wine seem to be the secret behind longevity.

Personally, I’m going for average life span and enjoy a steak or burger now and then!

  • stevesheardown says:

    Totally agree, low …
Totally agree, low fat just doesn’t work and makes no metabolic sense. I’ve lost 35 pounds in around 6 months and not felt hungry once by simply cutting out everything processed from my diet. I’ve never felt better. The argument which convinces me most is the simple fact that we haven’t, as a species, encountered large volumes of simple starches in our regular food intake until very recently. Why would that turn out to be the best way to eat after all those millions of years? Eat fat get thin.

I hate how people don’t know the proper way to diet.
there is no such thing as “diet” you should always maintain a healthy lifestyle with proper intake of protein, vegis, carbs..fat..etc.
